Timothy Gilbert is the founder of Koda Group Inc. and has been working as a Private Investigator since 2003. Mr. Gilbert’s credentials are backed by years of experience as a police officer. Working undercover during investigations and surveillance and involvement with specialized undercover unit exercises are experiences that lead to his ambitions to join the private sector. To praise his achievements, in 2000 Mr. Gilbert was awarded the prestigious title of Officer of the Year by the Detroit Police Department. Eager to transition into the private sector, Mr. Gilbert became Koda’s Primary Investigator in 2008 and is one of only two licensed Certified Criminal Defense Investigators (CCDI) in the state of Michigan. In Ohio, he is the only licensed CCDI and also has professional licensing and certification credentials in Indiana and Illinois.

 

Prior to his business career, Timothy Gilbert served in The United States Marine Corps where he was a decorated Marine and received the Navy and Marine Corps in 1996.

 

 

Mr. Gilbert has worked with the Federal Government on cases and has extensive experience working with other state and local municipalities. No stranger to undercover investigations, Mr. Gilbert has a multitude of talents acquired from years of hands-on experience during covert operations.

 

 

Mr. Gilbert has been involved in thousands of cases and has developed a vast range of professional skills and specialties. While working both publicly and privately, experience with cases through litigation has been a specialization. The implementation of numerous investigative strategies has allowed Mr. Gilbert to excel in his field and develop techniques that yield results for his clients.

Community Involvement

 

ROMULUS, Mich. (WXYZ) - Little Kobe vanished without a trace from his Romulus home in December.  His owner Sha’ney Bowers was hysterical as she searched shelters and on websites. She posted flyers around town and on social media.

 

Not knowing what happened to the dog, Sha’ney did not give up. She posted about the 13-year-old maltipoo’s disappearance again on social media.

 

It was later discovered the pet was being sold on Craigslist for $100, but Sha’ney, her family, and others were having no luck contacting the seller.
